Your landscape design may include retaining walls and/or decorative garden walls. The difference between the two is the function they are to serve in your landscape. We have examples of both shown in our “Walls” project gallery of retaining walls landscaping.
Materials that have been used in the walls include dry stack stone, concrete modular walls and block walls that have been veneered with stone. Some of the stone walls have been capped with flagstone and some are left with a natural top.
Drainage has been provided behind each wall where needed. Most the wall material can be used in a very flexible manner to allow for each situation.
Grigg Design will work with you to determine what type and size of wall is needed in your particular situation. Your landscape designer will also discuss with you whether terracing or another option will work and also how the drainage patterns on your site may be affected.
